I'm Helen Bradley, an expatriate
Australian writer of photography, computer and scrapbooking articles.

I live in sunny California and I write cool hands-on tutorials for editing photos, using software and making scrapbook pages and paper crafts. That's what life should be about - having fun - and my job is all about fun.

Helen Bradley Resumé

I write heaps of columns on digital photography and Photoshop. I teach everyone from computer users to scrapbookers how to take great photos and how to fix not so great photos. I also design scrapbook pages and paper craft projects for some wonderful scrapbook and craft magazines and of course, I write articles on computer software.

My columns appear in some of the world's best and biggest magazines: from the US to the UK and Australia and Canada and beyond. Check out my work page to see which magazines in your country carry my work. If you visit my articles or tip of the day blog, you'll see lots of my writing work. On http-design.com, you'll see my artwork and at backgroundartz.com you'll see my photography.

I love what I do, and I do what I love. I've turned what was my hobby: photography, computers and scrapbooking, into a job.

For fun, in 2007 my plan is to travel far and wide. I've already managed a week-end in London and Paris is on my "to do" list.

I've just received my new scrapbooking book in the mail which looks gorgeous if I say so myself!

For recreation I see heaps of movies at the local art house cinema and I read trashy novels. I watch more movies at home on my PC than I care to admit to (thanks Netflix!), I play with polymer clay and altered books, I scrapbook and read and study art. I've even been known to write short fiction.
