My readers have their say I have some really great readers from all over the world. Occasionally they send me email I don't ask for or expect. But the readers on this page each made my day in their own special way. |
"Many
thanks for your thoughtful response and spot-on advice. We now have
the charmap shortcut on the desktop and you now have a set of very
appreciative fans." H&B Spurgeon Australia.
"Thanks for your swift reply... your help was spot on. I just want to let you know that I appreciate it very much. The error was just starting to really annoy me." Eugene Juric - Internet "How simple it is once you see the formula!! Helen, you're a genius! :) :) I really appreciate the help. I was sure that this would be some long, complicated formula, but it's a gem. Thanks very much!! Look forward to reading you next month!" Gerry Copple - Montreal Canada

This is from a fellow journalist...
"I got really keen on the DOS for Windows Users story you suggested and so have sent it in…Unfortunately I ran out of space and so couldn't include a description of the /HB switch, an undocumented switch that applies for all DOS commands. You use it when you have absolutely no idea why the line you have repeatedly typed makes DOS keep spewing out the same cryptic error message. When you add the /HB switch, nothing appears on your screen but your PC sends an e-mail to helen@helenbradley.com. There your wonky line gets debugged you get a solution by return e-mail. Neat, huh?" Thanks for your comments Link ;)
